Port Vale bidders: we have the skills to take the club forward
The owners of Synectics Solutions Carol and Kevin Shanahan say they have the “skills” to take Port Vale forward.
The couple had a £3.5m bid for the club rejected by owner Norman Smurthwaite who says he will not accept bids paid in instalments.
We are passionate about the Vale, passionate about the area and the fans, and have the skills to take it forward into the next era which will be successful…
Carol Shanahan told the Sentinel: “It isn’t fair for the fans to not know that there is a local company, you can’t get more local. We are next door, and we are passionate about the Vale, passionate about the area and the fans, and have the skills to take it forward into the next era which will be successful.
“Even if the club went down into the Conference we would still go forward to buy it. Port Vale is still Port Vale, no matter where it is, it is still the club.”
She also commented: “Someone has to step forward and actually take this club into its next era because this era has to be coming to an end.”
