Port Vale CEO Colin Garlick says he is “optimistic” after having talks with potential buyers of the football club.
Vale were rocked by Norman Smurthwaite’s comments over the weekend. The Vale owner said he would put the club into administration if a takeover deal was not agreed by the 5th May.
Smurthwaite’s inflamatory comments sparked another bid attempt by local company Synectic Solutions, who had previously tabled a £3.5m offer for the club.
Garlick told the Sentinel: “I am talking to prospective buyers and I am very optimistic.”
