Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray has told the media that Lewis Hardcastle will end his loan spell with Port Vale.
Hardcastle joined the Valiants on loan in August in a deal which was set to last until the end of the season.
I think young Hardcastle will be coming back. His game-time has been pretty limited…
However, the 20 year-old midfielder has made just nine appearances with just two starts in League Two and that lack of game time has clearly irked his parent club.
Mowbray told the Lancashire Telegraph: “I think young Hardcastle will be coming back. His game-time has been pretty limited.”
If he does return, Hardcastle will join fellow loanees Idris Kanu and Scott Quigley in being recalled early by his parent side due to lack of game time.
