Port Vale manager says team’s form is average
Port Vale stretched their unbeaten run to five matches but manager Neil Aspin has said their form is only “average.”
Vale have drawn their last three games including a goalless draw against bottom-placed side Macclesfield Town on Saturday.
It is average form because we have drawn. It’s not bad form but it’s not great…
The Valiants were also grateful for a good save by goalkeeper Scott Brown in the first-half as the home side pushed for a goal.
Aspin told the media: “It is average form because we have drawn. It’s not bad form but it’s not great. But as long as the players keep working hard… I thought they worked hard today, especially in that second-half.
“But the quality wasn’t there. I thought on the ball at times we gave it away too cheaply. But we had to battle and we will move on to the next game.”
