Port Vale manager slams side’s performance against Swindon
Port Vale manager Neil Aspin said the first-half display was “absolutely terrible” as they slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to Swindon Town.
Vale struggled during a game which saw ten minutes of stoppage time added.
I thought in the first-half we were absolutely terrible, really poor. I couldn’t single anything out that was good…
Aspin told the press: “You can’t disguise the fact it was very disappointing. I thought in the first-half we were absolutely terrible, really poor. I couldn’t single anything out that was good.
“We improved after the break but it would be difficult not to after the first half. It was a really poor performance. There are no excuses. It wasn’t good enough. I didn’t enjoy watching it. I found it very frustrating. All the stoppages as well helped kill the game, but it is up to us to overcome that.”
