Will Neil Aspin make a second enquiry for available Louis Dodds?
Chesterfield forward Louis Dodds has been made available for a free transfer, manager Martin Allen has announced.
Dodds has another year left on his contract but no fee would be involved if another club wanted to take the player on.
Dodds made 332 appearances for Vale scoring 56 times during a seven year stay with the Valiants.
Current Port Vale manager Neil Aspin says he enquired about both Peterborough forward Ricky Miller and Dodds in the January transfer window.
So, the question remains – will Aspin make a second attempt to sign Dodds or is he now looking elsewhere?

I’d sign him, he may “go missing” occasionally in games, but has the ability to change a game and was one of the best finishers at the club….
