Aspin’s Vale revival earns praise from national newspaper
Port Vale’s recent revival under manager Neil Aspin has reached the attention of the national press.
Vale have now won three straight games under their new manager including Saturday’s 1-0 win over Exeter.
It’s only a small acheivement in the grand scheme of things but Aspin was named “Hero of the week” in the Daily Mail’s League Two round-up.
The paper concluded: “What a transformation at Port Vale. At the end of September, many were tipping rock-bottom Vale for relegation. Michael Brown was sacked. In came Neil Aspin and they’re now two points above the bottom two after three wins on the spin, including Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Exeter.”
