Legendary manager John Rudge says “my heart goes out to Port Vale fans” after the club’s recent turmoil.
Rudge was in charge for one of the club’s greatest-ever periods and he told the Sentinel: “At the moment things are not looking that good for the team and the supporters. My heart goes out to them because I am desperate for them to get themselves back up the league.
“We will see what Norman decides to do now and who he is going to bring in there.
“The supporters have to try to keep behind the team as much as they possibly can and then see whether they can get the confidence to get some points on the board and go from there.”
