Synectics Solutions make bid to buy Port Vale
Local Burslem firm Synectics Solutions have made a £1.25m bid to purchase Port Vale FC.
The Burslem firm are based in the former Normid building which is located next to the Port Vale stadium.
The club is currently up for sale by owner Norman Smurthwaite and Synectics say that they would lower season ticket prices if they were successful.
The firm would win the approval of many Port Vale supporters as they are locally based and therefore know the history and traditional of the club and would be more accountable due to their position in the local area.
However, it remains to be seen if Port Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite, who is seeking a higher price, would accept a bid for the football club in the range of £1.25m.
Smurthwaite’s time in charge of the football club has often been controversial amid some baffling decisions and statements. Many Vale fans would be happy to see a change of ownership but it remains to be seen if the bid is acceptable.
