Former keeper Miguel Santos joins Dutch side
Former Port Vale goalkeeper Miguel Santos has joined Fortuna Sittard just days after agreeing to leave the Valiants.
Santos was believed to be in line to replace Jak Alnwick if injury ruled the number one out of action but to the surprise of fans Santos instead agreed to leave by mutual consent.
Caretaker manager Michael Brown then said that Ryan Boot was the club’s number two goalkeeper and was always in line to replace Alnwick if required. Boot’s loan spell at Macclesfield Town ended today.
Santos has joined Sittard on a contract until the end of the season after making three appearances for Vale during his stay in the Potteries.
