Port Vale v Fleetwood video diary by Fred, aged eleven

I hope you forgive the self-indulgence but I thought my son Fred worked really hard on this video diary so it deserved a wider audience.

It’s his account of our journey up from Aylesbury to Stoke-on-Trent to take in the Fleetwood game. It includes a stop off at the sweet shop (sweets are always an essential element of the matchday experience), his goal updates and he’s also managed to capture the Anthony Grant sending-off incident.

The wide-angle shots are a bit shaky (and dad’s arms get in the way at times) but I love his enthusiasm as the game progresses.

I hope you like (and if you don’t please don’t be too harsh on him – he’s only eleven and mad-keen on Vale, it would be a shame to put him down).

I’d also welcome any comments to him in the forum which I will pass on (presuming they are nice).
