Ribeiro still looking to add two or three more signings
Manager Bruno Ribeiro says that the club could still add “two or three” new faces to the first-team squad before the start of the season.
Ribeiro spoke to the Sentinel newspaper about the size of the Vale squad commenting that: “We have 27 now with goalkeepers and, if we take two or three more, it is 30.”
However, that squad size could be reduced if Vale loan out some of the squad players such as Billy Reeves, James Gibbons, Omar Haughton and Harry Pickering.
Ribeiro confirmed that loans may take place saying: “Some could go on loan… it is one more week for everybody, and one more game for everybody, and after we will decide. That’s just for the squad with 24 the maximum because 27 is too big for training.”
