Page proud to “be part of club history” after record-breaking result
Manager Rob Page says he is proud of the players after the club’s best home run in 22 years.
Vale’s draw against Coventry on Sunday means that the side are on their best run of home form since 1993.
The Valiants haven’t gone eleven games unbeaten at home in the league in a season since John Rudge’s side were unbeaten in 16 matches in the 1993/94 campaign.
Page said: “I am proud because of the managers that have been here before. John Rudge is an absolute hero at this football club and rightly so
“For the lads to make history for their home record is something for them to be proud of.”
Page added: “I’m extremely proud of the players. To be part of this football club is fantastic and to part of the history and breaking records, I’m proud of the players who have done that.”
