Page happy for Neal to extend loan, Kennedy wants to stay longer
Port Vale manager Rob Page says he understands if keeper Chris Neal wants to “go out and play games.”
Neal lost his place to Jak Alnwick through injury and has made just one sub appearance this season. He is currently on loan to Doncaster Rovers.
Page said: “If Chris wants to stay and play games then I will fully support him in that.
“We are fortunate we have two outstanding keepers; Jak Alnwick, who has been terrific since he has been in, and Chris who has been immense in the years I have worked with him.
“If I can support him to go out and play games then I will do.”
Meanwhile, on loan winger Matt Kennedy says he is happy to extend his loan spell with Vale. He told the BBC: “The manager is talking to Cardiff and I’d like to stay – even if it’s just for another month.”
