Loanwatch and former player update
There was a Torquay debut for Achille Campion while a former winger moved to Bath City this week.
Torquay United
Following his loan move to United this week, Achille Campion was a 66th minute substitute during their 1-1 draw with Altrincham. Campion was asked to go on loan to get matchfit and be in contention for the first-team and Rob Page’s view appears to be born out as one Torquay fan observed that Campion “looked unfit and did very little.” Let’s hope that some more gametime will help Campion regain some fitness.
It was a different experience for defender Nathan Smith who once again played the entire match for Torquay with another fan observing that Smith was the team’s “best player” in the second-half. Another felt that Smith would develop into an “excellent player.”
Bath City
Kaid Mohamed, who infamously only made six appearances during a two-year deal with Vale has joined Bath City. Mohamed was on non-contract terms at Accrington but is unable to join another league club until the January window. He has therefore opted for a short-term move to Bath.
League Two
It’s not a great time for former Valiants in League Two. Chris Lines can only make the Bristol Rovers bench, Marc Richard’s Northampton Town are in financial crisis and John McCombe was dropped by York City after a “nightmare” performance against Wimbledon last week.
