Pope undergoes surgery
Port Vale have confirmed that striker Tom Pope is expected to be out for three months after undergoing “successful” surgery on a knee injury.
Port Vale physio James Rowland told the club’s official website that: “I am pleased to say that I have spoken to Tom and the specialist today.
The surgery went to plan and we expect him to have made a full recovery in three months…

“Tom will now go through a period of immobilization to protect the injury site and we will progress his rehabilitation accordingly.
“Overall, he is in good spirits and knows that he will have to work hard to meet his targets over the coming weeks.”
