OVF editor Rob Fielding commented: “I’ve been a Vale supporter for over 30 years and I’ve always wanted to walk into a gallery and look at items associated with my football club. Now I’m delighted to be giving fans the chance to do so for no charge.
“OVF has lots of Vale memorabilia that is stored away and it’s time to give it, along with items donated by other Vale supporters, a public airing.”
APPEAL FOR ITEMS
Rob is also asking fans to come forward with items of their own to donate to the display. Fielding commented: “This is a free exhibition by fans for fans so if you have an item connected with the Vale that you’d like to lend the exhibition, we’d like to hear from you.
“We’ll return all items that are donated but just to ensure that we don’t get any duplicates, we’d ask fans to contact us first before they send anything to us. Supporters can contact OVF via the form below.”
OVF worked with award-winning Burslem gallery Barewall and Burslem-based memorabilia shop Memorabilia Madness to organise this unique exhibition and Fielding wanted to thank them for their help. “Barewall have been fantastic, offering loads of useful advice and allowing OVF to use their gallery space for free. I’m also grateful for the enthusiastic support of Memorabilia Madness as they have also been of great help.”
