Chairman acts on technical issues
Port Vale chairman Norman Smurthwaite has given an update on some technical issues that have been affecting the club recently.
According to a statement on the official club website, work to install “a new ticketing and retail solution” has resulted in damage to the cabling for the club’s ticket scanners. As a result, the Chairman has “taken the precaution” of changing to paper ticket entry for the first three home games of the season. After that, the electronic season ticket cards will then allow entry. The issues also mean that the club are “unable to exchange season ticket seats until further notice.”
Smurthwaite also confirmed that: “Season tickets are available for collection from Friday 1st August and including Saturday 2nd and Monday 4th August. We would appreciate that season ticket holders bring their receipt for the purchase of the season ticket or a form of ID, if this is not available, in order to speed up the collection process.”
