Injured Pope’s season over?
Manager Micky Adams thinks injured striker Tom Pope could miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
Pope, this season’s top scorer, was stretchered off during the first-half of the Vale’s 1-0 home win over Milton Keynes.
Speaking after the game, manager Adams confirmed that the striker had twisted his ankle and that “looking at it I would think that’s his season over.”
Doug Loft, Chris Neal and Joe Davis are already out for the remainder of the season while Vale’s mounting injury list meant the side had just five substitutes for Friday’s game.
