Port Vale will assess the fitness of leading scorer Tom Pope ahead of their midweek visit to Bradford City.
Pope was forced off after 14 minutes of the 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury after suffering a neck injury.
If Pope is unable to play, either Gavin Tomlin or Ben Williamson is expected to partner Jordan Hugill upfront.
