Swindon fan Plymred thinks his team will lose to Port Vale on Saturday and thinks his side’s away form is “pretty useless”…
Plymred talks to REP about the weekend’s match at Vale Park.
Fan bio:
Plymred has supported Swindon all his life despite the club’s many ups and downs. He tells us that “my first game was a 6-0 defeat at home and I still managed to get hooked…”
How are Swindon doing?

We have been playing poorly since before Christmas now and it is incredibly frustrating. At home, we have been good for the majority of the season although recently we have been lucky to pick up three points against both Coventry and Peterborough.
The less said about the Oldham defeat the better (it was one of the worst performances for a long time). Away from home we have been pretty useless all season hence us having one of the worst records in League One.
Most of us thought we would be in a relegation scrap at the start so we are doing better than that although we could quite easily fall into one if recent performances continue.
Who should we watch out for?
Nile Ranger, on his day, is almost unplayable for defenders at this level. His strength, control and awareness of others can cause huge problems for other teams. Ryan Mason can also be dangerous although his form has dropped since the start of the season. Alex Pritchard is also a big dangerman for us although personally, I don’t think he is anywhere near the £1m value being bandied about during the transfer window.
What are your thoughts on your manager?
Meh… I like the way we are trying to play but some of his decisions and substitutions are a bit baffling. Also, he doesn’t appear to have a plan B when our passing game which isn’t working.
What are your thoughts on your board?
This section could be thousands of words long with our club . The chairman seems a dodgy character for me personally and I am slightly worried with where the club could be in a few years time.
Any views on Port Vale?
The only recent memories of Port Vale is us thrashing you every time you come to the County Ground…
I can’t say I know very much about any of your players except Tom Pope who obviously knows where the back of the net is. Apart from him, the only recent memories of Port Vale is us thrashing you every time you come to the County Ground. Much appreciated chaps!
Any views and memories of players that have been involved with both teams?
Calvin Andrew was with us in the season we finished bottom of League One (below Plymouth who had 10 points deducted) and was awful.
A score prediction?
2-0 to Port Vale. One from a corner and a calamity goal from open play would fit with our away form over the season. See you all there.
