So who is Jordan Hugill?

As young striker Jordan Hugill makes his full debut for Port Vale, OVF takes a closer look at the development squad player.

  1. He was born on the 4th January 1992 making him currently 21 years of age
  2. Whilst on loan at Gateshead earlier this season he scored five goals in only four starts (plus three sub appearances)
  3. His first goal for Gateshead came in a 3-2 win over Chester City
  4. He then scored two in five minutes after coming on the bench against Alfreton
  5. He arrived at Vale Park in the summer after leaving Yorkshire non-league side Marske United to join Vale’s development squad
  6. He was part of the Glenn Hoddle academy (pictured right) which has also provided Vale with Ben Williamson and Ryan Burge
  7. Hugill suffered a serious knee injury earlier in his career from which he has now recovered
  8. He has also appeared for Whitby Town
  9. He is the sixth full debutant for the Vale this season (the others being Chris Lines, Carl Dickinson, Chris Robertson, Kaid Mohamed and Gavin Tomlin)
  10. He wore the number 39 shirt for the game against Crawley
