Pope shortlisted for national award
Port Vale’s top scorer Tom Pope has been shortlisted for the npower League Two Player of the Year award.
27 year-old Pope has netted 27 times this season, including a hat-trick against Bristol Rovers and four goals in the home game against Rotherham United.
The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at The Brewery, London on Sunday 24th March.
After the event, a “top ten players list” from each division will also be released.
The shortlists for the npower Players of the Year were drawn up based on votes from the managers in the respective divisions.
The shortlist for League Two is:
- Jamie Cureton – Exeter City
- Gary Jones – Bradford City
- Tom Pope – Port Vale
