Vale Reserves beat Shrewsbury
Rob Taylor and Louis Dodds were both on the scoresheet as a strong Port Vale reserve side defeated Shrewsbury Town 2-1 on Tuesday.
Taylor gave Vale the lead on eleven minutes from Sam Morsy’s cross.
Tom Bradshaw levelled for the home side soon afterwards but Dodds gave Vale victory with a strike minutes before the interval.
Vale could have made it three but Morsy’s shot hit the woodwork on 45 minutes.
Former Vale keeper Joe Anyon was in goal for the Shrews while Vale included Sean McAllister, Ryan Lloyd, Liam Chilvers and captain Doug Loft in their starting eleven.
