Dean Glover lapsed into a familiar footballing cliche by declaring himself ‘over the moon’ with the team’s efforts against Bournemouth.
Talking to the Sentinel newspapers, Glover said: “[new coach] Keith’s [Downing] had a good effect and the lads have been a bit more buoyant.
“When you are down there and things are hard you need a lift from somebody and with Keith coming in from the outside he’s had a good influence.
“We had a good defensive shape, we were a little bit more organised and not too open in general play.
“We also countered well when things did break down. We got all that from our lads and I’m over the moon for them.”
