Danny Sonner loving life at Vale Park
Loan signing Danny Sonner claims he is loving his time at Vale Park and claims there is a ‘lot of potential’ in Vale’s young squad.
The Peterborough veteran, 33, still has a year remaining on his contract at London Road but was granted permission by Posh chief Barry Fry to stay at Vale Park for the club’s remaining games of the season.
Sonner has already spent one month at Vale Park, helping the League One strugglers to two wins and two draws during the six games he has played and Sonner has seen enough to suggest there is good reason for optimism at Vale Park.
He said: “I am enjoying my time here and it’s great to be able to pass on some of my experience to the younger lads, because there is certainly plenty of them and a lot of potential.
“Lads such as Jeff Smith, Dave Hibbert, Billy Paynter and Chris Birchall have impressed me tremendously and have a bright future ahead of them, which is great news for Port Vale.”||
