Wycombe Wanderers defender Kortney Hause has paid tribute to Vale’s strikeforce of Tom Pope and Lee Hughes by labeling them the best forward partnership in League Two.
I don’t think I’ll play against better players than them…
Hause, who played against Hughes and Pope on Saturday told the Bucks Free Press: “I don’t think I’ll play against better players than them. Pope has scored 30 goals a season, which is a great achievement for him.”
Hause was also inspired by Vale’s 2,800 travelling fans, the majority of whom were well-behaved and in party mood. Hause said he was inspired by the ‘promotion party’ and hopes to achieve something similar with Wycombe. He commented: “I couldn’t stop smiling. I want to achieve more and have a feeling like that in my career. I hope to be lucky enough to have a good career in the game.”
