Burton Albion 1-1 Port Vale
Burton 1-1 Port Vale: Doug Loft’s second goal of the season earnt Vale an away point after the Valiants drew 1-1 with Burton Albion.
Micky Adams named an unchanged line-up after the 3-1 away win at Barnet while former Valiant Justin Richards was named in the Burton starting eleven.
Vale’s first chance fell to Loft on fifteen minutes, but his effort was saved by the keeper.
However, the visitors conceded on 23 minutes as an unmarked Aaron Webster headed home at the far post from a set-piece.
On the half hour mark, McCombe went close with a header from a Vale throw-in.
And Vale levelled matters on 40 minutes when the impressive Doug Loft drilled home from the edge of the box.
Vale missed several opportunities to take the lead with striker Tom Pope guilty of missing two decent chances, but Micky Adams will no doubt be happy with Vale’s unbeaten start in the league this season.
