Hulbert out for season
Vale are looking for a loan signing after it was revealed that Robin Hulbert could miss the season.
Hulbert made his first appearance in six weeks during the 2-0 win over Walsall but was forced out of the starting line-up at half-time with a thigh problem.
Hulbert’s absence will be a blow to Port Vale as many supporters believe the former Swindon and Bristol City player adds some much needed bite to the Vale midfield.
Vale could also be without Michael Walsh, Jeff Smith and George Pilkington for the trip to Hull.
Martin Foyle has been given around £3,000 from supporters trust VaST and that should allow the Vale boss to bring in midfield cover for Hulbert.
