Busgate was an infamous incident in the reign of manager Jim Gannon. Gannon and his assistant Geoff Horsfield fell on the team coach on the way to a game which resulted in both departing leaving the players without a manager or assistant.

Tomlinson tweet hints at incident on team bus
Goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson has tweeted about “someone” leaving the Port Vale team bus. The squad are believed to be on the way to the Aldershot game and Tomlinson tweeted: “Awesome events on the team bus” and later added: “Someone has left the bus.”
