Consultancy firm Begbies Traynor were appointed the Port Vale FC administrators on two separate occasions and were tasked with finding new owners for the football club.

The club’s administrators and the Supporters Club have issued their second fortnightly statement. It states that a seventh bidder has expressed interest in Port Vale and the administrators are “working hard to secure an acceptable offer.”
Administrator Bob Young has told the Sentinel that a fourth bidder has expressed interest in taking over the club and that the potential sale of the club will not be hurried as “there is no rush this time.”
Rob Fielding says that neither the Supporters Club, nor pro-change groups are to blame for this sorry mess, but the blame does have to be laid squarely at the feet of the club’s administrators.
