A long-serving defender who joined the Valiants from Chester in 1973 in return for £5,000 and Tony Loska.

He was a regular during most of his eight years with the club and was the nominated penalty taker for a spell.

In 1981, he was granted a free transfer and moved on to Crewe.

Hello Neil my dad has just been speaking about you he played alongside you for Chester reserves 1968-70 his name is Alan Davies he just been telling me he scored v tranmere rovers in a 2/0 victory Albert Robinson scoring the second.He sends his regards and hope you are keeping well.He said you were a cracking player and good team mate to him
