Port Vale manager John Askey says he is “disappointed” that his Port Vale side didn’t take more of their chances during the 1-1 home draw with Cheltenham Town.
Askey felt that strikers Tom Pope and Mark Cullen both had chances to win the game for the Valiants in the second-half.
If we put in performances like that then we have got a great chance of winning games…
Speaking after the draw Askey said: “I am disappointed with the goal they scored, it was clearly offside. But if we put in performances like that then we have got a great chance of winning games.”
The Vale manager felt that the Valiants should have made more of second-half chances adding: “If you want it to fall to anybody you want it to fall to Tom. He should have scored. Mark Cullen came on and should probably have had a couple of goals as well. So, I am disappointed we haven’t won it.”
