We take a leaf through a classic 1951 Port Vale home programme.

About

The Valiants were managed by Gordon Hodgson and playing in the Third Division South. It was the first season at the new Vale Park stadium. This game was the 43rd game of the season and came in a remarkable run of three home games in four days. It ended in a 0-0 draw. Vale finished the season in 12th place. Manager Gordon Hodgson would sadly die of cancer in June.
