Coach Mark Grew has told the Sentinel that midfielder Doug Loft could continue in the left-back position “if it’s best for us.”
The Valiants only have one recognised full-back on their books in Adam Yates, but midfielder Loft filling in impressively at left-back last season. Grew told the newspaper:
“He’s (Loft) a top player and a top professional, too. He never complained about being switched about and played superbly for the team.
“There will be new players coming in and we will have to see where we stand. We know Doug can do a fine job in either role.
“If it’s best for us that he stays at left-back I am sure he will continue to impress.”
