Port Vale have announced the signing of West Ham goalkeeper Mason Terry on a season-long loan.
The 21 year-old is likely to act as back-up for new signing Jackson Smith with Terry most likely to feature in cup competitions.
Terry has had three impressive spells on loan at non-league clubs. He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Concord Rangers where he earned the Supporters’ Player of the Season. During the 2024/25 season, Terry made the step up to National League South, signing for newly promoted Hornchurch on a season-long loan. His impressive performances earned him the Supporters’ Player of the Season award once again.
In 2025/26, Terry moved up the football pyramid to the National League, joining Essex outfit Braintree Town on loan. The young goalkeeper made 41 appearances, kept 12 clean sheets, earned 16 player of the match awards and collected his third consecutive Supporters’ Player of the Season award.
He stands six foot four inches tall and has progressed through the West Ham youth structure having joined the club at nine years of age.
Terry is the club’s fifth summer signing joining Smith, defender Jasper Moon and midfielder Kyle Dempsey and Matty Craig in making the move to Burslem this summer.
