At least it’s at home. Can I ask the club (as usual they won’t listen) can you open just the centre block of the Railway Stand. The Railway Paddock and Stand is the most populated area of the ground, yet it is the area most affected when the club decides to close off areas when a poor attendance is forecast. Supporters who sit in these areas do so because lots of them like to sit near to the halfway line with family and friends. By closing the Railway stand these fans are then forced into the Paddock taking the seats up of season ticket holders, a lot of whom have sat there for years. I didn’t see most of the Lorne Street closed due to a small attendance,I didn’t see half the directors box taped off, so why do it in the Railway Stand. It would cost just a few hundred pounds to steward the Railway Stand, in fact the club paid that much to pay for the stewards who were there to actually stop people from sitting there. The club should use some common sense and look after the fans who come along to support them. When Vale used to get gates of just 3000-3500 all the ground was open, however for some reason the people running the club now don’t seem capable of doing this.
