New left wingback signing Marvin Johnson says he hopes his experience will benefit the side after he agreed to join the Valiants.
The free agent signed a short-term contract as Darren Moore looked to bring in an experienced left wingback after injuries to Liam Gordon and Jaheim Headley.
Johnson previously played for Moore at Sheffield Wednesday and he told PVTV: “I already know the gaffer and when I’ve played for him before I’ve had a great time and I have great respect for him as well. He let’s you know exactly what he wants and what your role is. He’ll always help you along the way and help you improve.”
The 34 year-old is ready to make an immediate impact adding: “I’ll always back myself and it’s a great opportunity. I’d like to hit the ground running and show what I do.”
The veteran has already fitted in well with the squad adding: “I know a couple of the boys. There’s some good bunch of lads here and a great togetherness as well.”
As for the qualities Johnon hopes to add to the squad, he concluded: “I hope to bring quality and experience. I’ve played at this level and the Championship last year.”

Good idea in line with the injuries .
