Port Vale opening home game rearranged for live TV broadcast

Port Vale’s games against Cardiff City and Burton Albion have been selected for live broadcast by Sky Sports. It means Vale’s first home match will now take place on a Thursday.

The Valiants’ opening home fixture of the season against fellow Sky Bet League One newcomers, Cardiff City, will now take place on Thursday 7th August with an 8pm kick-off, to be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football.

The Valiants will then travel to Burton Albion as originally scheduled on Saturday 16th August, but this will kick-off at the earlier time of 12:30pm, live on Sky Sports+

In addition to these two games, all the opening games of the season (so that includes Vale’s away trip to Rotherham) will be broadcast live.

  • Live on Sky Sports Football
Burton Albion vs Port Vale
  • Saturday 16th August
  • 12:30pm kick-off
  • Pirelli Stadium
  • Live on Sky Sports+
