The second summer friendly of 2024 ended in another Port Vale victory as Darren Moore’s side made it two wins in two days.
For the first forty five minutes, Connor Ripley started in goal, youngster Baylee Dipepa played upfront while a trialist also began the game. There were early chances for Curtis and Shorrock while Tolaj also went close on a couple of occasions before Ronan Curtis gave Vale the lead just before the break. It came from a corner which saw a header saved but Curtis pounce on the rebound to fire home.
Half-time: Kidsgrove Athletic 0-1 Port Vale
The Vale also had the ball in the net in the second period but Jayden Stockley’s effort was disallowed for offside. Vale also had attempts from Clark and Jason Lowe. Meanwhile, the home side also had a couple of chances from corner routines, including one effort which forced a fine save from Ripley, but Vale’s defence held firm.
It meant a second win in quick succession and a clean sheet as Darren Moore’s side’s pre-season routine starts in earnest.

Very poor gonna struggle this season
2 good results and looks as if whole squad given a run out. It seems that the manager as recruited well.
Don’t no what Pete watched, first half was superb full of running , sharp passing of the ball and creating space , Lorentz tolaj looks a real good player , second half was not as good, but a good run out for vale ,,,,,very impressive
Who were the triallists in the game?.
