Port Vale will be ball number 25 in the Northern half of the draw for the first round of the Football League Cup competition.

The draw will take place on Thursday 27th June at 11.30am. It will be broadcast live on Sky Sports News.

Seventy Clubs from the Championship, League One and League Two enter at this stage. The cup remains regionalised in the early rounds with the draw split into a southern and northern section until Round Three.

Matches in all rounds are single-legged, with the exception of the semi-final ties. In the event of scores being level at the end of ninety minutes, no extra-time will be played in rounds one to five with the result determined by penalty kicks.

For 2024/25, the rights deal with broadcaster Sky Sports will see every Carabao Cup match broadcast live on Sky Sports for fans in the UK.
