All of these reports need to be taken with a pinch of salt… but here’s a round-up of Port Vale transfer rumours on X (formerly Twitter)…
Rumours on Twitter often have to be regarded with suspicion as the majority turn out not to be true. However, here are two of the latest…
Port Vale linked with goalkeeper
Following the release of Jayson Leutwiler, the Valiants will probably be looking at a back-up keeper to number one Connor Ripley and this Twitter account suggests that released stopper Jordan Smith could be a target. 29 year-old Smith was released in the summer after a year with Stockport County.

Midfielder linked to Valiants
Another rumour doing the rounds is that Vale are interested in Oxford United midfielder Marcus Browne. Browne is an attacking midfielder or winger who played fifteen games for United last season.

A big summer for Port Vale?
Our dedicated section contains confirmed moves in and out of the club in the summer of 2024 as well as unsubstantiated transfer rumours.

If we don’t start getting players in soon we will be left with the players nobody else wants same as usual
We all know what the rumour mill is like I think the biggest problem is that if it wasn’t for you keeping us informed we wouldn’t know what was going on rumours or otherwise they promise a closer link with supporters but it never happens for example no mention of the position on Ripley Garrity and Chislett so people start to believe rumours
No Striker ☹️…. Not even the rumour of one.
Come on Vale
Should be looking for strikers or we will not be going anywhere
Be brilliant if we sign Browne, alls we need then is a centre back and a left back plus another striker then off load some of the dead wood
O.k.so jadan Stockleigh a striker with a lot of experienced but surely his best days are behind him.yes he adds an option in attacking third of the field but we must do better if we intend bounce back to division 1.Come on vale we need to look forward buy cheap bring the players on the sell for a profit. That way there will always be a viable replacement for any first team player
Do you remember John rudge that was his way and it stood us in good stead and was one of the reasons for the spurs game a game where we were supposed to follow over now where that spirit today.
