Port Vale confirm experienced keeper signing
Port Vale sign Scott Brown – the club have confirmed the signing of experienced former Wycombe Wanderers goalkeeper Scott Brown.
The 33 year-old goalkeeper helped Wycombe Wanderers to promotion to League One last season and has now agreed a two-year deal with the Valiants.
Brown has made over 400 career appearances including spells with Cheltenham Town, Aberdeen and Eastleigh. He won promotion and was voted player of the year while at Cheltenham.
Port Vale also have youngster Sam Hornby and transfer-listed Rob Lainton as goalkeeping alternatives to their new signing.
A club statement on the official Port Vale FC website confirmed the transfer stating:

Port Vale Football Club are pleased to announce that goalkeeper, Scott Brown, has agreed join the club when his current contract at Wycombe Wanderers expires next month.
The 33 year old who made 51 appearances for newly promoted side Wycombe last season, has committed to a two year deal with the Vale.
The Wolverhampton born goalkeeper first started his career at Cheltenham Town, making over 200 appearances in his 10 year period at the club. He has since gone onto play for Aberdeen, Eastleigh and Wycombe making over 350 league appearances in a decorative career.
