Where is Port Vale based?
Port Vale FC is a football club which is currently located in Burslem, one of the towns which makes up the city of Stoke-on-Trent. The club’s Vale Park stadium is situated at Hamil Road, Burslem.
Has the club played outside of Burslem?
No. The club has had several locations around the Stoke-on-Trent area. They moved to Burslem in 1950 upon the completion of the Vale Park stadium. Prior to that move their Old Recreation Ground stadium was situated in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The club played there from 1912 until 1949. It is now the site of a shopping centre.
Are there any other areas where Port Vale have had stadia?
Yes, the club have also had a spell in Cobridge, at the Athletic Ground. They played there from the mid-1880s and remained there until 1912 when they switched to the Old Rec. In their formative years the team also played their football at Limekiln Lane, Longport and from 1880 at Westport.
