Anton Forrester says he’s desperate for a run of games
Port Vale striker Anton Forrester says he’s desperate for a run in the Vale first-team as he is playing for his future.
The 24 year-old forward scored in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Barnet – his third goal of the season.
Everyone is playing for their future and for the fans. We need to keep this club up…
Forrester has had an injury-hit Vale career and told the media: “I have needed a good run of games. I have had terrible injuries since i have been here so it has been stop-start but I have been good now for a few months so hopefully I can stay like this score goals and keep it up.
“It is a big opportunity, I feel like I took it and got my goal so I move on to Saturday now.
“Everyone is playing for their future and for the fans. We need to keep this club up. No one wants to go to the Conference, the Football League is where you want to be.
“I think we will do it, we have the players and the squad to do it.”
