Adams watches Vale game with owner Smurthwaite
The club’s potential new Director of Football, Micky Adams, watched Vale’s draw with Yeovil alongside owner Norman Smurthwaite.
Adams has been strongly tipped for a return to the club in a role similar to that of Director of Football and is also believed to be assessing the Vale squad following the departure of manager Michael Brown.
The appearance of Adams at Huish Park is a strong indication of his imminent return but the former Vale boss will not be returning in a managerial role.
Adams has set up a consultancy firm and is not interested in a full-time role at Vale Park. However, a part-time role overseeing the club’s new manager could be an attractive option.
