Loan watch: Port Vale keeper’s spell begins with a win

Port Vale goalkeeper Joe Slinn’s loan spell with Stalybridge Celtic got off to a winning start on Saturday.

Slinn started in goal and kept a clean sheet as Celtic beat Nantwich Town 1-0.

The goalkeeper is on loan until January.

Meanwhile, Adam Yates played ninety minutes as Macclesfield drew 0-0 with Bromley. Yates will have plenty of familiar faces during his spell. George Pilkington was injured for this match but Yates still had Keith Lowe, Danny Whitaker and Ryan Lloyd for teammates.

Yates is on loan for a month with Macclesfield.
