Trialist Neil Eardley in Port Vale team to play Newcastle
Neil Eardley is one of four trialists to start Port Vale’s friendly game against Newcastle Town on Tuesday evening.
Right-back Eardley was released by Northampton Town in the summer and is a Welsh International. The 28 year-old has made over 250 career appearances.
Eardley joins Tom Walker, Billy Whitehouse and Gavin Gunning as a trialist in the Vale starting eleven.
Three more trialists – Dan Green, veteran Michael Tonge and Gaetan Lenoir will play in the second-half.
