Hednesford Town sign two former Valiants
Northern Premier League Premier Division club Hednesford Town have announced that they have signed five new players including two former Port Vale players.
Manager Neil Tooth has announced the signing of former Vale youth team graduate James Lawrie. Lawrie earned one cap for Northern Ireland while with the Valiants before dropping into non-league. He made over 250 games for Altrincham and also had spells with Kidderminster and AFC Telford.
Lawrie will pair up with former Vale striker Luke Rodgers. The 35 year-old had spells with Vale, Crewe Alexandra, Yeovil Town and Notts County and had a season with New York Red Bulls before moving into the non-league scene with a spell at Stourbridge.
