Michael Brown disappointed with tired Vale performance
Interim Port Vale manager Michael Brown said that the Valiants “looked tired” during their disappointing 2-1 defeat to bottom club Coventry.
Speaking to the media Brown said: “It was difficult, right on kick off we lost JJ Hooper. It was five minutes before we came out. That did knock us a little bit and we had to change a few things around.
“Reggie has only played 45 minutes of a reserve game after being out for five to six weeks. I thought we looked tired and maybe the effort and endeavour the players have shown recently was probably one too many. I am disappointed with that, I thought we could have got a result.”
